The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide (ESOCS) has a new Prelate.
He is Dr David Bob-Manuel.
Bob- Manuel succeeds Elder (Dr) Lazarus Onyeleonu, who died on May, 13 after leading the church from 2010.
His appointment was announced last week by the Advisory Board of the church to reporters after a strategic meeting.
General Secretary of the church, Elder (Dr) Napo Emuchay, explained Bob-Manuel would be inducted on September 7-10 to coincide with the 92nd anniversary of the church.
The new Baba Aladura told reporters that he would continue to foster spiritual revival, evangelism and righteous living in the church.
He said youth and women empowerment would be focal points of his administration, saying their roles in the church cannot be overemphasised.
He solicited for the cooperation, patience and loyalty of members to take the church to the next level.
The 76-year-old hails from Abonnema in Rivers State and retired as a management staff of Shell Petroleum and Development Company in 2004.
He had served as a Deputy Baba Aladura and was General Secretary/ Senior Apostle for more than 10 years.
